The company’s core function has been the provision of structural defects cover for purchasers of new homes, with a complementary focus on improving the general overall quality of residential construction in Ireland through advising, educating and training builders, building professionals and other interested parties.

Training aim

The purpose of this one day course is to provide attendees with a detailed understanding of the design and construction related components of Part B of the Technical Guidance Documents- Fire Safety

  • To provide attendees with an understanding of the legislation regarding Fire Safety
  • For attendees to learn the key principles relating to a fire and its growth
  • To give attendees the knowledge to design buildings in compliance with Technical Guidance Document B
  • To ensure attendees understand the key on-site fire related construction details
  • To ensure that attendees understand and realise the importance of compliance with TGD B and Legislation

Assessment & certification

The assessment will take the form of a Multiple Choice Question exam at the end of the each module.  1 CPD credit
