The aim of the course is to provide participants involved in road improvement & surfacing works with an understanding of road recycling techniques.

Trainer's profile

Tony Broderick - Chartered Engineer.

Tony has been involved in Surface Dressing operations for more 20 years, having worked as an Area Engineer with a number of Local Authorities before joining Irish Tar. He has a depth of knowledge and experience in Binder Technology, as well as in the surface dressing process and operation. In addition, he has specialised knowledge and experience on the use of geosynthetics in dealing with geotechnical problems and solutions.

David Hogan - BEng Structural Engineer.

David is Irish Tar's Road Materials Technical Manager and has over 12 years experience in road materials engineering. David is a leading member of numerous surface dressing technical committees and has a depth of experience in the process. David is also involved in road materials design and standards development.

Damien McCormack – Chartered Engineer.

Damien is an experienced roads engineer, having worked as a Design Engineer with a multidiscipline consulting engineers, as an area engineer with Cavan County Council and more recently as a regional road safety engineer with TII. He has a vast array of experiencein road making and surface dressing operations.
