Learning objectives

This CPD aims to alert and educate designers, consultants and electrical engineers to the new EU Directives regarding permanent cabling in buildings which are coming into effect as of July 1st this year (2017). These directives relate to fire resistance of cable going into buildings with specific attention to data communication cables.

Trainer's profile

Michael O’Neill:

Involved in the IT industry in different guises for the past 20 years,  Michael is continually looking at the next stage of product evolution in the data market.Michael heads up the east coast data communications department of Kelliher Electrical.

Derry Kiely:

CCNA qualified, Derry has also trained as a Data Instructor with Nexans  Structured Cabling Systems and is one of only 40 Nexans Instructors World-wide. Derry heads up the West coast data division
