Training aim

A one-day course, designed to provide all engineers who are required to

write technical reports, with the necessary skills to prepare their reports to best

practice standards

• Pitching the language of the report at the right

level

• Dealing with exhibits, photos, digital evidence and

other graphics

to your report writing

• Developing a standard template for report writing

Course outline

The training will ensure delegates fully

understand what is involved in writing a technical

report. They will consider the content of reports by

considering the source and weight of evidence to

be included, and learning to distinguish between

facts, inferences and opinions. They will also

consider the process of report writing, including

grammar, layout, format and style. They will

receive a sample report template used in engineering

field.

All of our training is conducted by our team of barristers and solicitors. All our trainers are qualified lawyers as well as trained trainers. All of our trainers are very experienced and are skilled with helping delegates to get the most out of each course.

Assessment & certification

All delegates are assesed on the course and are given a certificate on completion of the programme.

Who should attend

The training allows both new and experienced engineers to look at how they are writing reports. It includes analysing style, grammar and layout, and aims to improve the standards of their reports
