Training aim

Competence training for people involved in the planning, design and operation of drinking water and waste water infrastructure and facilities: CIP-epoxy liner technology, Water Reservoirs, Sewers.

Learning objectives

Module 1:

Depening knowledge of CIP- Epoxy Liner Technology for waster water and potable water; EN-standards and detailing; system comparison; life expectations, testing.

Module 2:

Concrete repair and surface protection for drinking water reservoirs to DIN EN1508 with mortars. Performance and  durability issues of  repair and protection measures are discussed. Project examples.

Module 3:

Sewers and Manholes: Environment, Substrate preparation, leak sealing, repairs and mortar coatings (MRT)

Course outline

  • Module 1: CIP-epoxy inversion liner technology is widely used in waster water rehabilitation projects, but now also availbale with special high pressure hoses for relining of drinking water pipes.
  •  Module 2: The DIN-standard additions to EN1508 (Water Reservoirs) ensure long term performance for repairing and coating with mortars, providing durable hyginic finishes. A full repair and coating concept is shown.
  • Module 3:  Safe sewer / manhole repair and surface protection with MRT-technology.
