Digitisation of Engineering and Construction

Organisation profile

MMA Consulting Engineers believe the digitisation of the AEC (architecture, engineering and construction) industry will be transformational, enabling a step change improvement in how projects are designed, constructed and maintained. MMA have developed a data driven approach using Lean Management Principles to deliver an improved digitized workflow for design and construction.  MMA works with many of the world’s leading multinational pharmaceutical, semiconductor and manufacturing companies.

Training aim

The CPD will detail how the digitisation is revolutionising engineering and construciton. It will also detail current trends and outline how work practices will have to adapt for future demands.

Learning objectives

Digitisation of engineering and construction offers significant opportunities for those who wish to embrace it. Thanks to advances in big data analytics, a data driven approach using Lean Management Principles can deliver an improved digitized workflow for design and construction.

Course outline

The CPD will be broken into the following subsections;

o            Standards, why are they important

o            3D scanning & point clouds

o            BIM modelling and construction validation

o            6D BIM and interoperability with facility management systems
