About the event

Members are invited to attend an information evening on becoming a Chartered Engineer with Engineers Ireland. Those preparing their applications for the January 2019 deadline are especially encouraged to attend but the event is open to anyone interested in applying to become a Chartered Engineer in the future.

  • Caroline Flynn from the Engineers Ireland Membership Development team will outline the requirements for Chartered Engineer, the on-line application procedure and the interview process
  • Following this Paul Mac Donald, Claire Mulholland and Dr Richard Manton, recent CEng candidates, will speak on the benefits of being a Chartered Engineer, their personal experiences of the application process and tips for the interview stage
  • Finally we will hear from Dr Josette Galligan, Chartered Engineer and Chair of the Board of Examiners which oversees the awarding of the Chartered Engineer title
  • The evening will conclude with a panel discussion and opportunity for the audience to ask any questions
