Engineers Ireland is the professional body for engineers and engineering in Ireland. With over 25,000 individual members we are a customer focussed team tasked with providing relevant, high quality services to our members.
Engineers Ireland provides our members access to the internationally benchmarked development framework for professional engineers and recognises our members’ commitment to this framework through the registered professional titles of Chartered Engineer, Associate Engineer and Engineering Technician. We also provide training opportunities aligned to this framework.
We are seeking to recruit a Training Administrator who will reflect our commitment to excellence in customer service through their drive and friendly, professional approach to our members. This role will support the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) team in Engineers Ireland.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Delivery of efficient, friendly and focussed responses to CPD queries by phone, person to person and through written communications;
  • Administration of customer queries, requests and bookings on the internal CRM system;
  • Preparation of key training materials;
  • Training course registrations and liaison with trainers;
  • Responsibility for general administration duties;
  • Assistance with overall Engineers Ireland team goals and activities.
Candidate Skills and Experience:
  • A minimum of one year’s appropriate experience with a relevant qualification;
  • Event support experience is desirable;
  • Experience in customer services and database administration;
  • Strong communications skills in liaising with a variety of stakeholders/customers, in particular proven experience in handling customer calls and emails;
  • Strong focus on attention to detail and right first time approach;
  • Good PC (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and keyboard skills;
  • Ability to prioritise and plan effectively and efficiently;
  • Well-developed time management and organisational skills;
  • A self-driven attitude is vital, coupled with the ability to work in a team;
  • A clear enjoyment in working with and assisting people.
This role may be of interest to anyone currently working in or with a desire to work in event management, or a recent graduate in HR/Learning and Development. The role will be based at Engineers Ireland headquarters in Dublin and will report to the CPD Director. This role is to cover a period of maternity leave which is expected to run for nine months up to one year. A remuneration package commensurate with the role will be offered to the successful candidate.
