About our networks
Our networks provide members with access to valuable information and learning by:
- delivering technical lectures on relevant topics
- hosting conferences, seminars and awards events
- stimulating debate and discussion on issues of importance to the engineering community
- publishing papers, guides, reports and briefing sheets
All our regional networks also have a strong social focus, with golf outings, dinner dances and table quizzes.

How to join
When you apply for membership of Engineers Ireland, you are automatically affiliated to one of our 11 regional networks, based on the preferred correspondence address you give when you apply.
Once you are confirmed as a member, you can join any number of additional regional or other networks in our Members Area integrated.
It is free to join our networks.Once you register as a member of a network, you can choose to:
- receive email updates on all events at your network
- use your network's discussion forum
- comment articles written by other network members
- comment on the network blog
- send messages to other members of your network

Young engineers paper prize competition
The mechanical and manufacturing division of Engineers Ireland and the branch of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers are jointly offering a best paper competition for young engineers. The deadline for submitting a paper title and abstract is 26th March, 2010.
Innovative student engineer awards 2010 sponsored by Siemens
We are delighted to announce the Innovative Student Engineers Award 2010. There are two categories for Level 8 and Level 7 students. The awards are made on the basis of final year projects.
