About the region
Letterkenny has been designated a Gateway City in the National Spatial Strategy, which involves plans to:
- Improve road links to the region
- Enhance the capacity and resilience of energy support networks
- Strengthen telecoms infrastructure throughout the region
While the Donegal Region network has a small membership base, our network provides a focal point for engineers of all grades and disciplines, and proactively encourages their continuous professional development through delivery of a varies programme of lectures, seminars and networking events.
As a network, we encourage the participation of young people studying engineering, in particular.
