North-East region

The North-East Region network covers Meath, Louth, Cavan and Monaghan.

About

About the region

The North-East region has the fastest population growth rate in the country. The largest concentration of members live in the towns of Navan, Cavan, Drogheda and Dundalk.

Our members are primarily consulting engineers, contractors, and those who work for local authorities; they come from a range of disciplines but are predominantly civil, mechanical and electrical engineers.

We provide them with a professional and social network for learning and developing potential business opportunities.

Who can join?

  • Engineers and engineering technicians working in the region
  • Engineering consultancies and support servicing companies
  • Local government and semi-state organisation workers involved in engineering
  • Academic researchers, lecturers and students

Membership is open to members from all grades of Engineers Ireland and from all engineering disciplines.

How to join

If you are already a member of Engineers Ireland, and gave a correspondence address in Meath, Louth, Cavan or Monaghan when you joined, you have automatically been affiliated with this network.

If your correspondence address is outside these 3 counties, you can still join our network through the Members Area.

It is free to join our network. Once you register as a member of a network, you can choose to:

  • receive email updates on all events being run by the North-East Region network
  • use our network's discussion forum
  • post comments on articles written by other network members
  • comment on our network blog
  • send messages to other members of our network

Events

North-East Region network members receive invitations to a wide variety of educational and social events throughout the year, including:

  • CPD-approved evening seminars and lectures delivered by experts across a broad range of engineering topics
  • site visits and meetings throughout the region,
  • golf outings,
  • the annual dinner, held in a different location each year to facilitate as many members as possible.
