About
About the region
The Thomond Region is known for its innovative approach to science and technology, with significant research and development ongoing at private companies, particularly in the National Technology Park, in Limerick City.
Our network provides a focal point for engineers of all grades and disciplines, and proactively encourages their continuous professional development through delivery of a varied programme of lectures, seminars and networking events.
We have developed close ties with both the University of Limerick (UL) and Limerick Institute of Technology (LIT). Members of our network committee include academic staff from both UL and LIT and both institutions play host each year to a number of our evening lectures and seminars.
