IS 3217 Emergency lighting

This short review course is designed to update existing users of the 1989 Code of Practice with the changes in the new standard, to allow them to continue with their activities under the new requirements of the standard. The revised Standard now dictates a requirement for Emergency Lighting on Building sites.

Several parts of the revised standard are conflicting and need careful review including the apparent need for specific qualifications to carry out Emergency Lighting works and Registration. In addition there is a need to closely review the requirements for emergency lighting in specific premises types.
