Course aim

The seminar will provide delegates with an understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of incineration and MBT and a vision of Ireland’s future waste management policy and practice. Delegates will have the opportunity to participate in a lively and open debate.

Overview

Ireland's waste industry is currently experiencing significant challenges to meet EU landfill diversion targets in 2010, 2013 and 2016. An on-going debate is taking place on the strengths and weaknesses of incineration and MBT. What is Ireland’s waste policy? What is the solution best suited to our current and projected future waste?
