About the event

Key technology drivers such as IoT, mobile, cloud computing and data analytics are driving research and innovation in the healthcare and medical device sector, enhancing the ability to combine connected medical products with "data as a service" offerings, as well as supporting efficient healthcare delivery and the economic goal of value-based care.

A key prerequisite of achieving such market opportunity is that privacy and cyber security concerns are addressed at all stages in the medical device lifecycle, from manufacture through to their final point of use. Ever increasing device connectivity and vulnerability need to be mitigated in an end-to-end approach more than ever before.

This talk will highlight key IoT digital trends and security/privacy concerns in the space, as well as discussing emergences in key regulations and standards that will influence and improve security management and awareness among healthcare and medical device manufacturers.
