About the Event

Fuel costs are a major overhead for many businesses. In order to reduce these costs and at the same time benefit from a reduced carbon footprint, an increasing number of businesses are looking to renewables. The imminent government Support Scheme for Renewable Heat (SSRH) will make the business case even more convincing and this seminar will aim to provide an overview of biomass and heat pump solutions and the SSRH.

9.30 am - Welcome and Introduction by Clearpower

9.45 am - Ray Langton SEAI
Ray will provide an overview of the support scheme for renewable heat.

10.15 am - Des O'Toole Coillte
Des will give an overview of the biomass supply chain.

10.45  am - Brian Cooley Climate Control
Brian will discuss his view on the requirements for successful integration of heat pumps into nearly Zero Energy Buildings.

11.15 am - Tea/ Coffee

11.45 am - Paddy Phelan 3CEA
Paddy will give an experience of conceiving, designing, procuring and managing various renewable heat installations.

12.15 pm - Fintan Lyons Kaizen Energy
Fintan will run through Kaizen Energy’s experience of operating various district energy systems and the opportunity to further decarbonise them.

12:45 pm - Closing Q&A and closing comments from Clearpower

About the Speakers

Ray Langton is a Program Manager at Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI), with a background in FMCG and Pharma Operations, Governance, Sustainability, Projects and Change Management.

Des O'Toole is a Market Development Manager at Coillte and President of Irish BioEnergy Association (IrBEA).

Brian Cooley is the Managing Director at Climate Control Renewables Ltd.

Paddy Phelan is the Manager of the 3 Counties Energy Agency (3CEA) and Vice President of Irish BioEnergy Association (IrBEA).

Fintan Lyons is the Managing Director of Kaizen Energy specialising in the operation and management of community and District Heating Systems (DHS).
