About the event

In this presentation, Kevin Fortune will discuss:

  • the benefits of CHP (combined heat and power)
  • how CHP provides primary energy savings
  • reduces greenhouse gas emissions
  • supports intermittent renewables on the grid

The presentation will describe the requirements to be met for a CHP project to qualify as High Efficiency CHP. The benefits of CHP will be discussed and how these can be achieved at a domestic dwelling level, giving some results from domestic CHP system tests, which are currently underway.

Kevin is a Chartered Engineer with extensive experience in the fields of Biomass CHP, Gas CHP, Balance of Plant Design and Industrial Energy Efficiency.
