About the event

The Conservation Group of Engineers Ireland, in conjunction with Civil, Structural and Environmental Engineering at University College Cork, present an evening lecture focusing on conservation engineering as a potential career choice. Four engineers working with historic buildings will discuss what they do in their day-to-day work conserving historic buildings, how they specialised in this area and why it is so important that we protect our old buildings.
