About the event

You are invited to attend an information evening on how to become a Chartered Engineer with Engineers Ireland.  During the course of the evening, the new CPD policy will also be discussed along with the different types of CPD available.

Kevin Redmond from the Engineers Ireland Membership team will discuss the benefits of membership, the requirements for the Chartered Engineer title, the on-line application procedure and the interview process.  Those preparing their applications are especially encouraged to attend but it is open to anyone interested in finding out more about Engineers Ireland.  Kevin will be joined by Pat Mulvihill and Con Kelleher and topics being covered will include:

  • The benefits of being chartered
  • The Process to follow to achieve chartered status
  • The educational and training requirements
  • The CPD requirements
  • The format of reports to be submitted
  • A discussion on the content of the submission
  • The requirement of endorsement by other chartered members
  • The formats for the interviews
  • The timescales involved
  • The competencies required and the criteria for meeting those requirements
  • The support available to candidates from Engineers Ireland in Dublin and the GB Region
  • The geographical options at the interview stage

This is an ideal opportunity to kick start your application for a registered professional title and should not be missed!
