The Heritage society, established in 1983, is a special interest group for members who share an interest in the history of engineering. A knowledge of previous engineering achievements and an understanding of the way in which projects were designed and constructed is often of vital importance to the practising engineer.
The society organises a series of lectures throughout the year on a wide range of topics of interest to members of Engineers Ireland and the general public.
Part of the remit of the society is to ensure that the archives of the organisation are adequately maintained and made accessible to those with an interest in the history of engineering. The archives are currently under the care of the Irish Architectural Archive at 45 Merrion Square, Dublin 2. Tel: +353 1 6633040 | email: firstname.lastname@example.org
