About the event

The Engineers Ireland Connect event, in association with the Young Engineers society focuses on career progression and employment opportunities for graduating and recently qualified engineers.  It will highlight key skills and competencies that are sought by employers and recruiters of new engineering hires today. 

The opening component of the event will be the final of "The Talking Engineer" student public speaking and presentation skills competition.

Arrival/ Registration

6.30 – 7.00pm

‘Talking Engineers’ competition - Presentations by the two finalists on the topic:  ‘Engineering Our Future’.

7.00 – 7.50pm

Presenters from ESB, Jacobs and OCSC will each speak about the skills and competencies that they seek in newly qualified engineers, providing an overview on current employment opportunities.

7.50pm

Winner of the ‘Talking Engineers’ competition is announced.

8.00pm

Company stands and networking/refreshments
