We are seeking a Structural Engineer to work in our civil engineering group based in our Dublin office. The role requires a high calibre design engineer competent in reinforced concrete and structural steel design.  
Skills, Knowledge and Experience: 
• Minimum 2.1 Degree or Masters in Civil or Structural Engineering;
• Has experience in the design and inspection of civil engineering structures; 
• Temporary works design experience is desirable but not essential;  
• Experienced & confident with report writing and presentation skills;
• Can communicate effectively with clients, colleagues and outside agencies and build effective working relationships, always aiming to exceed client expectations;
• Adheres to all Codes of Practice, Design Standards and Health and Safety Regulations; 
• Is committed to Continued Professional Development. 
Key Accountabilities: 
• Working as member of a project team to deliver quality services to clients; 
• Ensures all designs are in accordance with set standards and all recommendations are robust, value-based and commissionable;  
• Ensures that designs are delivered on time to our clients and that the design fulfills the client’s brief;  
• Inspects structures and construction work and ensures that all aspects of design are correctly implemented;  
• Monitors processes and results and ensures that they comply with relevant safety, legal, ethical and regulatory requirements;  
• Ability to make appropriate judgement and decisions and exercise initiative;  
• Ability to prepare specifications, technical reports, design documentations and detailed calculations.
