Training aim
To provide those who will be appointed as PSDP or wish to take on the role of PSDP, with the necessary knowledge and understanding of the role and statutory requirements in respect of the role.
Learning objectives
1) Know the roles and responsibilities of all involved in construction projects
2) Understand the role of PSDP
3) Know the requirements in respect to preparation of a safety plan
4) Know the requirements in respect to preparation of a safety file
5) Understand the involvement of the PSDP throughout the project life cycle.

The course content includes: Construction Regulations Overview / Duties of Project Supervisors
Duties of the Client / Duties of Contractors / Co-ordination of designers / Health and Safety Plan Preparation / Approved Codes of Practice
Attendance at the 1 day LCE Design Risk Assessment course is a prerequiste for attending this PSDP course.
Trainer's profile
Ita Leyden - B.E., M.Sc., Dip.Em, C.Eng M.IEI, C.MIOSH Managing Director.
Ita is a Chartered Engineer and Chartered Safety Professional with over 25 years experience in safety, engineering and ergonomics. Working in all areas of business, Ita has worked in construction and design as a client, designer, PSDP and PSCS over the past 20 years.
Ita is also a part time lecturer of Ergonomics in University College of Dublin.
