Seminar overview

Building Information Modelling (BIM) has been transforming the Irish Engineering landscape for the last number of years. As we continue to adapt and change with the technology around us, this seminar will look at the very specific impacts on the engineering workplaces in Ireland.
This seminar will start with an overall perspective of BIM adoption in Ireland in the UK, setting the scene for the challenges and opportunities ahead. PAS 1192 has long been heralded as one of the key frameworks that continues to shape how we utilise BIM applications, and will be presented to highlight passages that every engineering firm should be aware of.
The awareness of legal implications will also be explored in depth, particularly in how BIM utilisation is changing the legal aspect of work in engineering practices. The day will also cover case studies from experts in the field utilising BIM in infrastructure, buildings and maintenance to explore how they have adapted their workplaces to deliver BIM driven projects. Experts will also give insights into BIM business transformations and practical advice through real life scenarios.

Seminar aim

The aim of this seminar is to provide practical insight into how BIM is transforming Irish engineering workplaces, and to identify the opportunities and challenges that BIM can bring not only to individual organisations, but to Engineering in Ireland as a whole.
