Galway firm awarded CPD Accredited Employer standard

MCS Kenny has become the latest organisation to be awarded the prestigious CPD (Continuing Professional Development) Accredited Employer standard from Engineers Ireland. The award follows an audit of the company’s lifelong learning practices for their engineering professionals.
 
Commenting on the achievement, John Power, Chartered Engineer and Director General of Engineers Ireland, said: “The CPD Accredited Employer standard recognises organisations which implement specific continuing professional development policies to support their engineers and technical staff. Professional development has become the keystone for companies to stay ahead of their competitors and at the forefront of their customers’ minds”

MCS Kenny was founded in Galway in 1983 as an offshoot of the University of Galway. The company develops industry leading software to underpin its engineering services in the oil and gas industry. The Galway office employs 79 staff, 59 of which are engineers.
 
The company employs almost 200 people located in key oil and gas hubs around the world – Aberdeen, Houston, Rio, Perth and Paris.
