Sanofi has been awarded the much sought after CPD Accredited Employer Standard by Engineers Ireland in recognition of the continuing professional development (CPD) strategy at their Waterford site.

The Waterford operation of the global biopharmaceutical company has grown rapidly since being established in 2001 and now employs over 700 staff who supply a range of therapies – many for the treatment of rare diseases – to patients in more than 100 countries. More than €600m has been invested in state-of-the-art infrastructure and technology at the Waterford plant on the Old Kilmeaden Road in recent years with diversification continuing to bring new products, delivery platforms and career opportunities to the southeast.
