As the voice of the engineering profession, the 'State of Ireland 2019: A review of housing and infrastructure in Ireland' report is Engineers Ireland’s contribution to public policy discourse on the topic of housing and is the ninth report in Engineers Ireland’s annual series of assessments of Ireland’s built environment.

While our housing challenges are shaped by a wide variety of factors from financial to political and technical, this report focuses on the engineering element of housing, tackling issues such as land, infrastructure, building standards, sustainable planning, technology and skills.

Fr Peter McVerry S.J, founder of the Peter McVerry Trust and Honorary Fellow of Engineers Ireland, will formally launch the report at Engineers Ireland's Headquarters on Clyde Road on Wednesday, 26 June.

The event is scheduled to commence with registration and light refreshments from 9:00am, followed by speeches and a panel discussion in our theatre at 9:30am.

Marguerite Sayers, President of Engineers Ireland, will present key findings from the report and will be joined by guest panellists including: John Moran, Chairperson of the Land Development Agency, Frank Curran, Chief Executive of Wicklow County Council and Eugene Lynch, Chief Executive, McAvoy Group.

Admission is free and all are welcome. Those wishing to attend are asked to register their attendance. Please click here to RSVP.
