The Northern region covers counties Antrim, Armagh, Derry, Down, Fermanagh and Tyrone providing a focal point for engineers of all grades and disciplines, and proactively encouraging their continuous professional development through delivery of a varied programme of lectures, seminars and networking events.

See our Events page for upcoming events for the 2018-2019 session. If you'd like to receive an email alert a week to 10 days in advance of each Northern region event, you can subscribe.  This is a members only facility and it can be done by updating your profile in the members area of the website.

The Region maintains strong links with third-level institutions, including Queen's University Belfast which hosts the annual Engineers Ireland Sir Bernard Crossland lecture, an event aimed at promoting the manufacturing sector in Northern Ireland.

It also maintains close links with the neighbouring North East region co-hosting an annual lecture to promote networking between both groups.  Links are maintained with The Institution of Civil Engineers Northern Ireland branch with joint technical papers and the promotion of engineering in schools and also with the Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management (CIWEM), the Institution of Structural Engineers (IStructE) and with the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET).
