This is an update from our statement of 3 March 2020:

Engineers Ireland is conscious of the health and safety of staff, members and guests working or attending events and meetings at our office at 22 Clyde Road, Dublin 4.

Health and safety is also of great importance at any of our events and meetings held outside of our office.  For example, one of our Region’s (sectors) evening events.

At 22 Clyde Road, we work to ensure that we operate as safe an environment as possible for visitors and staff at all times. This includes measures to mitigate the spread of infectious diseases.

At other locations, we aim to select a safe, local venue appropriate to that event or meeting.

Engineers Ireland is closely monitoring the situation about the Coronavirus.

Our Engineers Ireland planned events and meetings are continuing, including CPD training and many of our sector events.

However:

  1. We ask any person, if they have recently returned from an affected area, that they do not attend these events or our meetings, and to follow the advice of the HSE here. A list of the affected areas is also here.
  2. We ask any person who is feeling unwell, not to attend our events or meetings.
  3. We ask any attendee if they have been in contact with a person who has been confirmed to have Coronavirus in the past 14 days, not to attend our events or meetings.

We will be monitoring the situation and taking the advice from the HSE and/or the National Public Health Emergency Team.

Further information from the HSE on the Coronavirus can be found here.

We will adhere to any further recommendations issued by the HSE and/or the National Public Health Emergency Team.
