'Mindfulness & Meditation: Tools & Techniques' with Liam Dale

Using a mindful approach within your working life promotes a sense of calm, clarity and increased focus when carrying out daily tasks. Current research now highlights the direct connection between the regulation of one’s breath through the mindful practice of deep breathing methods as found in meditation, and the effects this has on vital bodily functions, i.e. brain health, respiration and so on.

Course Aims

  • Demonstrate & show how the process of Meditation/Mindfulness works.
  • Provide learning in support of a proactive approach to managing one’s wellbeing on a long-term basis.
  • Provide an experiential meditation tutorial in a practical setting.

Learning Outcomes

  • Identify: Key components that directly contribute to promoting a Wellness based approach to Mind/Body health
  • Understand: The process of meditation and mindfulness - methods and expected outcomes.
  • Experience: Gain a practical experience in the benefits of meditation and deep breathing methods.

  • Meditation – History, Philosophy & Technique.
  • A seated routine that can be carried out at one’s desk/work station. This relieves pressure and elicits a decrease of tension in the primary areas - Shoulders/Neck/Back.
  • A guided breathing method aimed at improving circulation and enhancing one’s mood in a positive context.
  • C.U.P: A grounding technique which encourages a sense of being centred and focused. Allowing participants to be mindful of their overall health and mental well-being.
