About the event

Traditionally the Energy Sector had two main aims: the first to produce energy and the second to keep the lights on.  However today there are many challenges re shaping the sector: rising generation costs couples with decarbonisation and changes in load patterns. This is coupled with advances in digital technologies, such as Artificial Intelligence, GIS, Internet of Things and the cloud. This talk is will discuss some of the drivers and challenges to the Energy Sector and the benefits of Data Analytics. 

About the Speaker

Jennifer Jennings, Data Scientist, ESB

Jennifer’s role at ESB includes working with the Business Users to identify and develop analytics use cases then bringing these into production to enable the business to be self-sufficient.
