About the event

 Lufthansa Technik Turbine Shannon (LTTS) is a world-class provider of aero engine component repair services to airlines and engine overhaul shops repairing parts from CFMI & GE engines. LTTS use a wide variety of technologies in the repair of engine parts; including chemical cleaning, welding, brazing, machining, additive manufacturing, coating and NDT processes. The presentation will cover the following topics: an overview of what the company does its main products and markets, the technologies and process deployed, technical and business challenges, areas of best practice and topics of interest for knowledge sharing.

About the speaker

Barry Lowe, Chartered Engineer

Barry is the Engineering Manager at Lufthansa Technik Turbine Shannon (LTTS) having previously worked in a number of technical and commercial roles with Hyster Automated Handling Ltd, Dublin, Crown Gabelstapler GmbH, Munich and BS&B Safety Systems, Limerick.

Barry is a graduate of Mechanical Engineering from University College Dublin and holds a Masters of Business Administration and Diploma in Lean from the University of Limerick. Barry is a member of Engineers Ireland Thomond Committee.
