About the event

Improving Ireland's Building Stock is the theme of the 2013 four-lecture CPD series.  Whilst the building industry has been quiet over the last number of years, there has been much focus on improving the regulatory regime for building design, building construction and building materials. There have also been a number of developments in relation to improving the energy efficiency of both existing housing stock and of new builds. This year’s CPD series will address all of these issues.

In this, the second of four lectures, The Construction Products Regulations will be explored.  From July 2013, CE marking of construction products covered by Harmonised European Standards will be mandatory.  Manufacturers, importers and distributors will have new obligations and responsibilities when placing construction products on the market and it is imperative that designers, specifiers and builders are aware of and understand these new requirements.
