About the event

Improving Ireland's Building Stock is the theme of the 2013 four-lecture CPD series.  Whilst the building industry has been quiet over the last number of years, there has been much focus on improving the regulatory regime for building design, building construction and building materials. There have also been a number of developments in relation to improving the energy efficiency of both existing housing stock and of new builds. This year’s CPD series will address all of these issues.

In this, the third of four lectures, The Draft Code of Practice for the Building Control Amendment Regulations 2013 will be explored.  These new regulations will bring additional responsibilities and certification obligations to all members of a building project team.  In this presentation Cormac Bradley will provide the background to the Regulations and COP and update attendees on where the process is as of mid-October 2013.
