About the event

The George Boole tour run by the UCC Visitors' Centre is an interactive tour telling the history of UCC through the eyes and voice of George Boole and his significant contribution to the world of mathematics, technology and computerisation. During this tour visitors will meet Boole himself and also Queen Victoria who will regale you with the story of her own visit to Cork in 1849.

This 80 minute tour (largely indoors but rain gear is advised for walking between buildings) is non-technical and has a broad appeal to families, particularly to children - of all ages! It is being arranged for Engineers Ireland members, their friends and families.
