About the event

This conference hosted by the Northern region and the Association of Bulgarian Culture and Education's (ABCE) will endeavour to provide information on education post BREXIT. This  will endeavour to provide information on education post BREXIT. This Conference will provide details of the funding and curriculum for Ethnic Minority Schools abroad, the implication of BREXIT for Education and the types of Careers in demand in Northern Ireland specifically tailored for the Eastern European ethnic minority community.

Special guests from different Educational organisations from Northern Ireland and Bulgaria, and representatives from Bulgarian Schools and other Ethnic Minority schools abroad from all over the Globe will attend.


Arrival: 4.30pm. Tea/ coffee and biscuits will be provided

Session 1: 5:00pm - 7:00 pm

  • Introduction and welcome
  • Diversity and Inclusion in the Workplace
  • The content of programmes and curriculum in Bulgarian Schools Abroad
  • Univerity Admissions - Acceptance to University by Ethnic Minorities and the impact of BREXIT.

Coffee and tea break: 7:00pm-7:15pm

Session 2: 7:15pm - 9:00pm

  • Bulgarian Ministry of Education Fundng for Schools Abroad
  • Demand for Engineers
  • Ethnic Minority Student Experience in Engineering
  • Dealing with Ethnic Minority Pupils in mainstream education
  • Closing summary and questions.
