Post Title: Project Manager for TTEC Decanting and Enabling Projects

Post Status: Specific Purpose Contract (anticipated duration of 3 years)

Department/Faculty: Estates & Facilities Office, Trinity College Dublin, the University of Dublin

Location: West Chapel, Trinity College Dublin, the University of Dublin, College Green, Dublin 2, Ireland

Reports to: Head of Capital Projects & Planning

Salary: Appointment will be made on the Administrative 1 at a point in line with Government Pay Policy [€58,329 to €75,211 per annum] up to the salary bar. Progression

beyond the bar on the Administrative 1 Salary scale is not possible in this role, the salary is capped at a maximum of point 3 on the Administrative 1 salary scale.

 Hours of Work: 37 hours per week

Closing Date: 12 Noon (Irish Standard Time), 1st  November 2019

Post Summary


Trinity College Dublin has ambitious plans to develop its 5.5 acre site at Grand Canal Quay into an Innovation District of international significance. An innovation district will connect

indigenous and multinational companies together with researchers and venture capitalists.

Such a district will produce a sum that is greater than its parts, driving inward investment, new collaborations and jobs. Its benefits will be brought to the regions through virtual connections and the sharing of research, best practice and space. This district is not just a business park, but a place for cultural institutions and amenities for the community, a place where everybody, whether office worker, tourist or local resident will want to spend time.

The overall project will see the site completely redeveloped, requiring a large number of small to medium sized capital projects, in a programme, to vacate the site, move teams from one location to another, and enable the site for redevelopment.  The University is seeking a suitably qualified project manager to lead this group of decanting and enabling projects.

Post Purpose

Trinity College Dublin (TCD) seeks to appoint a Project Manager to assist in these goals.  As part of this role, they will coordinate and lead a number of capital projects, as part of the capital development programme for Trinity @ Grand Canal Quay and Trinity College;                     

  • Decanting fitout / new building / logistics projects to vacate space on the TTEC campus;
  • Enabling works on the TTEC campus for the “Trinity@Grand Canal Qual” innovation;

ecosystem development;                                                                                                 Recant and setup projects for commercial and academic groups on TTEC, or moving to and from the site                                                                                                                                                  Associated TTEC projects as required

Allocation of capital projects to Project Managers will be made by the Head of Capital Projects & Planning (“HoCP&P”), and the Director of Estates & Facilities.
