  2. Programmes listed under Engineering Technician meet the education requirements for the Dublin Accord, programmes listed under Associate Engineer meet the education requirements for the Sydney Accord and programmes listed under Chartered Engineer meet the Washington Accord.

  3. This qualification meets the education standard for Chartered Engineer for graduates on or before 31/12/2012. For graduates after 1/1/2013 further learning is required to meet the education standard for Chartered Engineer.

  4. Some Diploma in Engineering programmes delivered by Dublin Institute of Technology pre 1998 received parallel Bachelor of Science awards from Trinity College Dublin (University of Dublin).

  5. To meet the educational standard for Chartered Engineer upon completion of the 1-2 year Master Programme, entrants must hold an accredited undergraduate qualification under the Washington Accord. UCD graduates completing the Masters Programme in its entirety over 5 years are awarded a Bachelor of Science (Honours) after 3 years and upon completion of the 2 year Master Programme meet the educational standard for Chartered Engineer. 

  6. To meet the educational standard for Chartered Engineer upon completion of the 1-2 year Masters Programme, entrants must hold an accredited undergraduate qualification under the Washington Accord.
