How to Apply

You can apply in 5 steps once you log in and begin the application process:

  1. Make your declaration.
  2. Complete the application form and submit it.
  3. Enter the contact details for your supporters.
  4. Await verification from your supporters.
  5. Pay the fee and submit your applcation.

Essay Titles

As part of your application you will need to write two essays.

Your first essay may be on an engineering topic of your choice.

Your second essay must be chosen from the following list of topics. These topics are for those applying for the next deadline, Friday 25 January 2019.

  • Is an engineer in a non-engineering role still an engineer?
  • Diversity in engineering
  • Discuss the advantages and disadvantages of widening the scope of engineering
  • The social implications of engineering in your field of practice
  • Is it ethical for engineers to charge a fee substantially less than those charged by governing associations?
