To explain the fundamental principals of the refrigeration process

Learning objectives

The course objective is to give a basic understanding of how an air conditioning unit actually cools and potentially heats the air using refrigerant. We will discuss the vapour compression refrigerant cycle with referance to such processes as condensation evaporation compression and expansion.

We will also introduce pressure temperature relationship in general and more specifically in relation to Refrigerants and how this relationship is so important in the thermodynamic process.

Paul Keyes

Has worked in the Air Conditioning and Refrigeration industry for almost 40 years, having worked firstly in the contracting sector as a time served engineer installing and servicing a variedrange of products in a multitude of applications.

The last 25 years have been spent in the multi national manufacturing environment in various roles such as field quality assurance, product training, and in recent years as a consultant sales engineer.
