Social Media Community Guidelines

Engineers Ireland participates on social media in order to update individuals and organisations on matters relating to our organisation and our work; on the work of other organisations that may have some relevance to, or implications for, our members; the work of our sectors (Regional branches, Engineering divisions and Engineering Societies); and the inspiring work of engineers and those involved in STEM-related activity (science, technology, engineering and maths). 

Our goal is to share ideas and information with as many individuals as possible.

We do not agree with or endorse every comment that individuals post on our social media page(s).  We are pleased that members and others engage with us and ask that any conversation remains respectful and constructive.

Content must relate to engineering, the inspiring work of engineers and those involved in STEM-related activity (science, technology, engineering and maths).   

Therefore Engineers Ireland comments on matters which form part of our core purpose as a professional body for engineers. In line with the aims of our Inclusion and Diversity Society, our channels also highlight specific inclusion and diversity days in line with our Society’s specific aims.
