All secondary school students in Ireland can apply for the STEPS Engineering Your Future Virtual Work experience in association with Springpod from September 2026.
This is an entirely free experience and it will run from Tuesday, 15 September 2026 to mid-January 2027.
About the Springpod Engineering Your Future Virtual Work Experience:
- The content is entirely online so you can take part at a time that suits you.
- This programme will include reading, video and interactive content, as well as recorded 'Springpod Sessions' and activities.
- Springpod Sessions are short videos recorded by Irish engineers. These have all been recorded in August 2026.
This programme will give you an overview of the engineering industry before zoning in on mechanical, chemical, electrical and civil engineering. You'll explore specific areas within the industry and cover pathways, interactive activities and self-assessments.
