Engineers Week, run by the Engineers Ireland STEPS programme, has been created to introduce primary and secondary school children to the diverse world of engineering. STEPS Engineers Week will take place from Saturday, 1 - Friday, 7 March 2025.
The STEPS Team is calling on engineers and engineering organisations to get involved: collaborate with your local schools, choosing from the below menu of activities to interact with the students. In our experience, this combination of professional expertise and learning-by-doing inspires children to open their eyes to how engineering is part of everyday life.
How your engineering organisation can get involved:
- The best way for you to get involved and have an impact is to organise an activity with a local school. Choose an activity from our STEPS Engineers Week School Engagement Menu below.
|
- Register your participation in STEPS Engineers Week to help STEPS see the impact of the week in communities across Ireland. Register and be in with a chance to win a prize for a class group/school in your local community.
|
- Evaluate your activity to reflect on what participating children have learned. This feedback is invaluable for enhancing future events. Registered organisers will receive evaluation surveys in the week leading up to STEPS Engineers Week.
