It represents many sectors of the industry, including third level education, local authorities, local government, contractors, companies, researchers and many more. The region provides CPD and social networking events for engineers of all grades and disciplines.

Some of the events previously held by the South East region include:

  • Technical presentations on topics like oil spills, water and wastewater and design and development of medical devices
  • Social events like table quizzes
  • EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) update

Webinar Series 2020/21

Following a request to the various sectors and divisions of Engineers Ireland from our President Maurice Buckley earlier this summer for Sectoral Projects in Support of National Recovery, the South East Region Committee have put together a series of webinars for our committee’s upcoming calendar year 2020/21.

Commencing in September 2020, our webinar series will showcase engineering projects, innovations and initiatives for the improvement of society and economy in the South East Region and beyond. Our webinars are a CPD series, which aim to promote the positive impact Engineers in our region have on our everyday lives across a range of engineering disciplines and areas of expertise. 

From innovation, online working, key infrastructure developments, STEM, medical devices, carbon reduction, sustainable and active transport, this series will present high quality content of guaranteed interest to all engineers.
