Learning objectives

After this seminar, participants will be fully aware of their obligations regarding risk, programme, time and payment issues under the PWC and how to administer the contract more effectively. Participants will have a greater sense of the meaning and intent of the key clauses, and should be able to apply this in practice.

This course will invite interaction and discussion amongst the attendees in order to further each of their knowledge of the PWC.

Course outline

This course is intended for those who have a working knowledge of the Public Works Contracts but seek a further in-depth understanding of the core clauses. Significant time will be devoted to practical examples, which will be based on the practical and real life experience of our own engineering and legally qualified professionals. Delegates are encouraged to provide practical examples in advance of the course, which would facilitate an afternoon Work Shop style discussion of problematic areas.
