Training aim

To explain the concept of Variable Refrigerat Volume (VRV) - two pipe offering and particularly the three pipe offering with emphasis on its capability for heat recovery.

Learning objectives

The course will aim to show firstly how the basic refrigeration cycle is used in the VRV system to cool and heat the air, and also explain how the potential for heat recovery can be utilised in your design.

We will also explain the VRV capacity index system and its potential for useful diversity when matching to space load requirements and equally some limitations to be aware of in this respect. The operating envelope and efficiencys of the VRV system shall also be discussed.

Paul Keyes

Has worked in the Air Conditioning and Refrigeration industry for almost 40 years, having worked firstly in the contracting sector as a time served engineer installing and servicing a varied  range of products in a multitude of applications.

The last 25 years have been spent in the multi national manufacturing environment in various roles such as field quality assurance, product training, and in recent years as a consultant sales engineer.
