Training aim

To take a holistic view of the Irish Landscape in 2020, our 2030 Carbon Reduction Targets and how through Digitising the Low Voltage System we can achieve these targets.

Learning objectives

To understand how through digitisation at low voltage along with, connectivity, SaaS, Big Data and Artificial intelligence will form the foundation of optimised, active and de-carbonised energy systems across the globe. Digital Low Voltage is something that is quite new in Ireland and is currently being underutilized, however, the progression and adoption of the new Microgrid capabilities of Low Voltage Digital Hardware is fundamental in reaching Ireland’s 2030 De-Carbonisation Targets.

Course outline

The CPD module will give the audience a rounded view of Ireland’s 2030 RESS targets in the context of global Mega Trends and Market Trends we are witnessing in the Industrial and Energy Segments. The audience will see learn about the shift change in low voltage technology and how this digital and connected technology has been designed to support the shift changes we are increasingly witnessing in our increasingly active and decentralised electrical distribution system. ABB Ability™ solutions combine ABB’s deep domain expertise with connectivity and software innovation to empower real-time, data-driven decisions for safer, smarter operations that maximize resource efficiency and contribute to a low-carbon future. Our large portfolio of digital solutions helps organizations automate, optimize and future-proof their business to achieve new heights of performance and drive sustainable progress.
