Engineers Ireland supporting the Irish Red Cross in its work with Ukraine

As an association of engineers, we are deeply shocked by the Russian invasion and attack on Ukraine which has initiated a humanitarian crisis for the people of Ukraine.

Engineers Ireland is supporting the Irish Red Cross to identify the suitability of accommodation generously pledged by the public for families and individuals travelling from Ukraine to Ireland.

At the outset, we will be helping to assess vacant properties available.

We are calling on our engineering community, including practising and retired engineers, and in particular those with experience in assessment of residential properties, to support the Irish Red Cross and to assess accommodation.

A recording of a Guidance Webinar for those engineers willing to support the Irish Red Cross as Assessors can be found below, as well as links to a copy of the slide presentation and a relevant Question & Answer guide.

If you are an engineer and would like to help in this work as an Assessor, please fill out the brief form via the button below.

We will pass your details provided by you on the form to the Irish Red Cross, the Local Authorities and the Defence Forces.
