Overview of UPS system. Mix of theory & practical training. Gain knowledge of UPS power flow & controls; critical system failures; identifying alarm conditions &training in simulation training area

Learning objectives

This course will provide the audience with a comprehensive overview of a UPS system and its components.  An important aspect to this training is the practical element where learner experience UPS in our state of the art simulation training area.  Upon completing this programme you will be able to:

•             Understand operations of a UPS
•             Understand Battery Systems

Trainer's profile

Keith Stafford, Technical Manager in Hanley Energy Ltd has previously worked as UPS Field Service Engineer for 10 yrs. He has in-depth knowledge on the installation, commissioning and maintenance of various types of UPS and led projects across large scale commercial &industrial installations in various sectors from 10kVA to 4mVA” Keith is qualified Standards-Based Electrician & has successfully completed in-depth training on Schneider UPS. Keith is a subject matter expert in the field of UPS

Assessment & certification

This course requires successful completion of assessment, upon conclusion of training a Certificate of Attendance will be awarded to Learners

Who should attend

To obtain the most benefit from the course, prospective learners should have a general knowledge of electrical/electronic theory. Knowledge of computer applications is desirable but not essential.
