PlanNet21 Communications is to create 50 jobs after purchasing a 29,000-sq-ft global headquarters at Citywest Business Campus in Dublin. The premises is to facilitate the company’s research and development requirements and to accommodate staff growth, with the building having capacity for more than 200 staff. Earlier this year PlanNet21 announced a €20 million investment in a wholly owned data centre in Blancharstown, along with 30 jobs. This is now the second major phase of recruitment for PlanNet21. “This is the next phase of the business for PlanNet21 Communications, growing from humble beginnings in Galway, to now serving some of the worlds’ largest blue chip companies,” said Michael Hannon, co-founder and CFO. Taoiseach Enda Kenny cut the ribbon for the official opening of the offices. "I am delighted to welcome the announcement of 50 new jobs with the expansion of PlanNet21 and its relocation to its new headquarters in Citywest Business Campus. This is a great example of how an indigenous Irish company can grow to become a global player, creating high-quality jobs for Irish workers," said the Taoiseach.
